Please allow us to introduce… Carl. 🕷️

Carl is currently living in the rafters of Great Wolf Lodge, making himself comfortable with 224 scary feet of legs and a body more than 10 feet long and 6 feet tall. He believes in taking up space. 😂

Every year, the Great Wolf Lodge Pack Members name the giant balloon spider we create for them, and this year’s eight-legged lodge guest has been christened Carl.

An impressively ordinary name for an extraordinarily large roommate. We love it!

If you’re visiting, look up and say hello. He’s a little hung up at the moment, but always happy to pose for photos. 🕸️

The hardest part of photographing this giant airport pumpkin patch? Waiting for a turn. 😉🎃

The challenge isn’t fitting it all in the frame. It’s not working around that gorgeous window light. It’s just finding a moment when travelers weren’t posing for pictures!

And honestly? That’s our favorite kind of challenge. ❤️

We create these installations to make people pause, smile, and step into the picture. To turn a trip through the airport into a little moment worth remembering.

We built a pumpkin patch. You made it part of your memories. And that’s why we do what we do. 🎈

Over the moon. And completely surrounded by love. 💕

Some celebrations are so beautiful you can feel the love in every little detail. This was one of them. Every thoughtful touch, every perfectly planned detail, every person gathered to celebrate these soon-to-be parents… it was all a reflection of just how loved this little family already is.

We had the joy of creating a balloon artistry for this absolutely dreamy baby shower with exquisite draping from @moonlightcreates, held in the Monogram Lounge of @jriegerco.

What does it take to make a little balloon magic like this?🍩

A 4:30 AM call time.
Four balloon artists.
Three cupcakes.
Four donuts.
Five macarons.
Hundreds of sprinkles and jewels.
And more balloons than we’re prepared to count before coffee.

All built by hand, piece by piece, sprinkle by sprinkle, installed before most of the city had even hit snooze.

Because “over the top” doesn’t just happen. Around here, it starts very, very early. Weeks and months of planning, designing, sketching, inflating. And it’s all worth it.

Some things are worth getting up in the wee hours. 🍩

Especially when there’s a cake toss, a cookie buffet… and a perfectly reasonable amount of balloons.

Okay. Maybe not a reasonable amount.

We spent days in the studio creating every sugary little detail for this year’s block party @mclainsbakerykc —from sprinkle-covered balloon donuts to macarons, swirls of bejeweled cupcake frosting and, because restraint has never really been our thing, a cherry on top. 🍒

Then, while most of the neighborhood was still sleeping, our crew brought it all together into one gloriously over-the-top celebratory sculpture installation that literally stopped traffic.

Big. Joyful. Whimsical. A little ridiculous in the very best way. We love that our balloon artistry gets to be part of the backdrop for all of it.

Because if you’re going to make life sweet, we think you might as well go all in. 💕

Well, sugar… we’ve been keeping a little secret. 🤫

Please allow us to introduce Up, Up & Away!’s sassy little sister — @heysugarbritches !

She made her big debut this weekend, and this tiny Italian truck is officially ready to roll into your celebrations.

Fill her shelves with our fully staffed European candy station, or invite her along as the prettiest little party prop you ever did see. She can dress up as a bloom bar, champagne glass wall, dessert display, product-launch showcase and plenty more.

After 30+ years of dreaming up unexpected ways to celebrate, we thought it was about time we added something with wheels, something with a little vintage flair yet outfitted for modern gatherings.

We bring the charm. You decide how she shows up.

She’s tiny. She’s Italian. She’s got options. And bless her heart, she does love a party.

Meet Hey, Sugar Britches! Up, Up & Away!’s sassy little sister is officially booking.💕

Wait…those are balloons?

We love the whimsy of balloons—but we also love pushing them somewhere completely unexpected. Sleek. Modern. Elevated. Sometimes so sculptural you have to look twice to realize what you’re seeing.

Yes. Those are balloons. 🎈

Do you want fries with that? 🍟🎈
When @mcdonalds, the @chiefs and a really good cause are all in the same room, we’re obviously going to supersize the balloons. ❤️💛 So happy to help mark another incredible year of fundraising for @ronaldmcdonaldhousekc.

Unpacking all of the hidden gems in our Practical Magic 2 inspired balloon installation at the Liberty @bbtheatres…
•Salt, Rosemary, Lavender, Love, as shared in the first movie. No spoilers here, but what did you think of the new addition? We had this backdrop custom made just for this installation!
•The apothecary bottles. Custom labels designed in the balloon studio. Belladonna because Gillian always has it in her bag, Midnight Margaritas because we all need a kitchen dance party. Love Potion No. 9? Well, that one is just a cheeky nod to Sandra Bullock.
•The date on the Owens Botanical Supply Sign, it’s the year the Salem witch trials ended.
•The climbing red roses, growing out of the ground where Jimmy Angelov was buried. Did you catch them in the second movie, too?
•The crescent moon, watch for it in PM2. We wanted to capture the moonlight illuminating the greenhouse as the Owens’ gathered around the table. Such a beautiful scene in PM2.

For our fellow balloon artists who have read this far, the apothecary bottles were created with Q jewels. Nothing velvetizes quite like them which is perfect for a dusty apothecary bottle look. There are also several custom double stuffed colors using the very last of our Q stock in the organic flows around the installation. Jewel burgundy and fuchsia with black in the rose garden; sapphire, quartz and teal with black throughout. This felt like the perfect installation to say goodbye to old balloon favorites.

Last day of pool season? We reject that premise. 🌊

Especially when the parties look like this. A fabulous 50th with a 1976 Las Vegas theme, served up with red velvet, chrome, cocktails and absolutely no interest in subtlety.

Because milestone birthdays should be a little outrageous. Actually, maybe a LOT outrageous.

Here’s to 50, fabulous, and squeezing every last celebration out of pool season. ❤️
